.NET Software Engineer

GridNavigator is a leading provider of intelligent energy management systems (EMS) for commercial & industrial applications. It offers the industry’s first intraday energy forecasting service. Our Looche lighting system is a family of indoor/outdoor LED fixtures that can be controlled individually or as a group.  It also includes day light harvesting feature with ambient sensors.  The advantage of our EMS is not only controlling the LED fixtures but also the thermostats as well, which provides much better competitive position against other LED providers.

To support our continued growth we are looking for a service oriented, motivated and organized lighting specialist to join our company as a .NET Software Engineer.

Essential Functions

- Design, develop, enhance and maintain current and new .NET C# applications, services and web services
- Participate in full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis and design
- Responsibility for developing solutions for all tiers of the application: ASP.NET windows control, librariers, middle-tier business components, database layer, etc.
- Investigate and analyze reported defects in a timely manner, and recommend solutions to these problems including code changes, data updates, configuration modifications, etc.
- Ability to design and develop software in a group or independently.
- Experience with technical design and development
- Conduct and assitn in integration testing.
- Define test scripts and unit test scenarios
- Produce process flow, data flow, UML and other diagrams

Qualifications

- Fundamental understanding of .NET Framework (including 3.5 up to 4.5), C#, ASP.NET, Web services, XML, SOAP, SOA architecture and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
- Strong software design fundamentals
- XMPP knowledge a plus
- Practical experience with design patters, ODD principles and methods and software architechure conceps. Oversee adoption and adherence
- Good, fundamental knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle 10g, 11g, as well as an understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Excellent written and verbal communicaiton skills in English
- Experience with working in a multi-team environment
- Excellent analytical skills, understnading of project life cycles
- Knowledge of logging in log4Net, data access via nHibernate, solution control using subversion, and unit testing using nUnit is also desired

To support our continued growth we are looking for a service oriented, motivated and organized lighting specialist to join our company as a National Sales Associate.

Responsibilities

- Responding to sales inquiries from customers by phone, chat and email
- Understanding customer requirements and preferences and matching them to appropriate solutions
- Creating quotes, researching products and following up to drive a high close rate
- Negotiating pricing that adheres to guidelines, yet responds to market forces to win deals
- Generating Sales Orders accurately with appropriate expectations on availability
- Responding to order inquiries such as questions about lead times and tracking
- Processing returns, replacements and cancellations
- Providing Customer Service agents with technical assistance as a lighting professional
- Handling technical support calls for consumers experiencing problems such as installation issues

Requirements

- 3-5 plus years of progressive experience in sales / business in the commercial lighting market
- Proven success and track record in selling lighting and related products
- Consultative selling approach that is persuasive and instills confidence
- Familiar with lighting design, architecture and/or construction industries
- Strong interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal
- Extensive experience in owner-directed sales and channel partner sales
- Self-motivated and organized
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong computer skills – thorough and detail oriented
